Gut Health Treatments

80% of our body’s immune cells are produced from the gut, and immune function is one of the gut’s main jobs. At BODY by AIM360, we offer a variety of nutrition IVs, shots, peptides, sprays, and supplements to help optimize your digestion.

Our Approach to Identifying Gut Health Issues

When it comes to identifying gut health problems, most traditional doctors only do colonoscopies and endoscopies — not gut microbiome testing or food sensitivity testing. However, at BODY by AIM360, we know that gut health lab testing should be done before beginning any type of digestion-related nutrition, supplement, or medication regimen. This is because it’s incredibly important to determine the root cause of the issues you’re having. If you don’t know the actual cause of the gut problem, you can’t properly treat it. Lab testing is of the utmost importance. See below for the two types of lab testing we use for identifying gut health problems.

GI-Map Microbiome Testing

Nearly everyone can benefit from GI-MAP® microbiome testing, whether they have been continuously unwell for a long time with no reasons why, or if they simply want to achieve optimal health. Using a single stool sample, GI-MAP microbiome testing can effectively detect pathogens (bacterial, parasitic, and viral) that are commonly known to cause gastrointestinal distress.

Food Sensitivity Testing

The food sensitivity test we utilize is very comprehensive, measuring all four sub-types of food-specific IgG (1-4), whereas most only test for IgG4. This is very important because testing for 1-4 detects all of the different food-specific IgG reactions. This is a finger-prick blood test that assesses IgG reactions to 200+ food and drink ingredients to determine what your body is reacting to.

Gut Supplements

By including the right gut supplements in a diet that has been designed specifically for you, your microbiome will become stronger, and your gut lining will be improved — resulting in more optimal function.

  • Digestive enzymes break foods down into the components that allow our bodies to absorb nutrients. Although the body naturally produces digestive enzymes, it doesn’t always produce enough. The result is gas, bloating, and digestion problems. Digestive enzyme supplements can help make up the difference.
  • Targeted probiotic supplements help support a solid balance of gut flora to help decrease the symptoms of stomach issues. The gastrointestinal tract includes approximately 10 trillion microbes, and targeted probiotic supplements help your body to have enough “good” bacteria. This results in improvement for conditions like belly fat, diarrhea, digestive problems, and more.
  • Probiotics, L-glutamine, and vitamin D can greatly help with leaky gut — a condition in which the junctions between the cells that line the small intestine become loosened, gaps open up in the lining, and undigested food and bacteria leak through into the bloodstream. Probiotics, L-glutamine, and vitamin D decrease inflammation and restore the intestinal lining.
  • A Candida and yeast cleanse combines probiotics and other supplements with an anti-inflammatory diet to keep candida albicans under control. When Candida albicans multiply, it can result in a yeast infection. A Candida and yeast cleanse can balance the gut microbiome, boost immunity, improve digestion, decrease inflammation, provide energy, and enhance mood.

Symptoms of an Unhealthy Gut

Weight Gain

One of the most common symptoms of an unhealthy gut is weight gain or loss (when not intended). This is because an unhealthy gut doesn’t absorb nutrients well.

Constipation

Individuals who frequently experience constipation typically have a more minimal level of gut bacteria, which affects digestion and can lead to the condition.

Stress

Problems with the gut can affect hormonal balance and increase your stress and anxiety levels.

Bloating and Gas

Bacteria can result in gas that is more excessive than normal, and when it gets trapped, this gas can cause severe bloating and painful heartburn.

Diarrhea

Acute or chronic diarrhea is another very common symptom of an unbalanced gut. This condition is also problematic because it may chase good bacteria out of your gut.

Sleep Issues

We all know that serotonin is important for sleep, but are you aware that serotonin is produced in the gut? This is why an unbalanced gut can cause issues with sleep.

Other Symptoms

  • Sugar cravings
  • Bad breath
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Candida
  • Acid reflux
  • Heartburn
  • Skin Problems

Gut Diet: AIP

The goal of the AIP (autoimmune paleo) diet is to decrease gut inflammation, heal the gastrointestinal tract, and improve other symptoms of autoimmune disorders by eliminating food and drink from the diet that individuals are typically sensitive to. Ideally, the AIP diet should balance the gut microbiota and optimize the consumption of nutrients.

Gut Health Treatment: A Selection of Success Stories

“For years I struggled with gut issues including IBS, candida, acid reflux, heartburn, etc. I have refused to believe that these are permanent conditions. I have wanted to get to the root of these problems. After bad experiences with various medications, I have decided to take a more holistic approach. This team of holistic professionals reviewed my blood work and found inflammation in my body, dietary allergies, problem absorbing vitamins, hormonal imbalance, and major gut dysfunction. These experts’ recommendations have been amazing. They have helped me to understand the root of my problems, assisted with my vitamin intake, and set me up with a dietary health coach. The recommended diet for me assisted in bringing down inflammation, aided with food allergies, and is improving my overall wellbeing. In healing my gut first, it is beginning a domino effect in restoring the other areas of my body. I lost 18 pounds in eight weeks, and I am continuing on with the recommended dieting plans. Yes, it takes work on our own part, and no, it does not work like magic. However, it is well worth all of the coaching. I would like to add that the team is compassionate and empathetic. I never once felt judged for how I got to where I was. I am on a good path of restoration and regaining energy.” Nicole K.

“I was so excited to get my blood work done and see exactly what was going on with my body. It turned out that my body was reacting negatively to most things I was eating, which caused my gut to not produce serotonin correctly — hence the anxiety I was experiencing. Dr. Dubyak put me on daily vitamins for my MTHFR, bi-weekly immune IVs, and he also has me on the KetoBolic diet. It’s been three weeks since starting his programs, and I feel so happy and energized. You really can’t make this stuff up, people. I highly recommend giving them a call.” Kelsey B.

“Was it easy? After the first few days, it became routine. Giving up all the possible food allergens seemed any impossible feat, but I stuck with it one day at a time. My labs prove the success of where I am today. The vitamin infusions and special health shake healed my gut to absorb nutrients, and I no longer suffer from a leaky gut. I have never had such thorough testing and specialized treatments to heal in any other healthcare setting. Health is priceless. I highly recommend the consultation and program. It works if you do your part. I did, and I couldn’t be happier and more importantly, healthier.” Denise M.
